The Oratory and Debate Club of St. Antony’s College, Peruvanthanam serves as a dynamic platform for students to express their ideas, enhance their communication skills, and develop the confidence to speak effectively in public. The club encourages critical thinking, logical reasoning, and persuasive expression — essential qualities for future leaders and professionals.
The club was formally inaugurated by Mr. Sunil Sebastian, distinguished faculty member of the Department of Malayalam, St. Antony’s Higher Secondary School, Peruvanthanam. His inspiring inaugural address motivated students to embrace the power of words and to engage actively in constructive dialogue and debate.
Objectives

Major Activities of the Club

17 October 2025 – The Oratory and Debate Club was formally inaugurated by Mr. Sunil Sebastian, renowned Film Critic, Writer, and faculty member of St. Antony’s School, Mundakayam.
Our college’s Debate Club was officially inaugurated, marking the beginning of an exciting journey for all aspiring debaters. The inauguration ceremony took place in the College Conference Hall, where a vibrant and energetic crowd of students had gathered. The hall was filled with enthusiasm as students, driven by their passion for public speaking and critical thinking, eagerly looked forward to exploring new opportunities to refine their oratory skills.
