SAC Digital Library
A library is the heart of any academic institution, and St. Antony’s College Digital Library stands as a modern hub of knowledge and learning. Established in 2013 with only 1,185 books, the library has grown into a fully computerised and resource-rich facility, housing 5,456 books, 15 journals, 17 magazines, and 4 newspapers. The library provides ample space, spacious seating, and a serene environment conducive to study and research.
The library has been modernised with IT-enabled learning and automated systems. All books are bar-coded, and the issue and return process is fully computerised. SAC Library features an E-cataloguing system using KOHA software, allowing students and faculty to locate resources quickly and efficiently. Users have access to a wealth of information, including books, periodicals, journals, statistics, and encyclopaedias.
SAC Library is registered under the N-LIST programme, an initiative of the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) through the National Mission on Education via ICT. This enables authorized students and faculty to access more than 1,99,500 e-books and 6,000 e-journals from anywhere, at any time, through secure authentication via the INFLIBNET Centre.
The library also provides access to a wide range of digital resources and databases, including:
* E-Books & Tutorials: E-Gyankosh, e-PG Pathshala, Swayam
* E-Journals & E-Resources: N-LIST, Internet Archive, DOAB, DOAJ
